Models
There are various ways to provide upscaled fracture parameters such as permeability to the reservoir simulator such as a Discrete Fracture Network Model or an Equivalent Continuum Model. However, the first step should always be to create conceptual models of fracture and fault networks using and integrating all available (static and dynamic) data before diving into a computer model creation.
We build fit for purpose models based upon analysis & interpretation of the available integrated data set. These can be used to understand the type of fractured reservoir (Nelson classification) and for appraisal and field development planning.
We will ensure that the faults are properly represented in fault frameworks using for example the correct throw-length ratios
